A Category is a group of items, put together to help customer understand and zoom into a specific type of food items. You will need to create a category, and a sub-category to assign and item to these for the items to be visible to the customer for ordering.
If you are using the Menu Editor to edit your menu, follow these steps:
- Login to eCMS
- Go to the 'Menu' Tab
- Select the category that you want to edit and click on the pencil icon to start editing
- Proceed to edit any of the details shown in this screen
- Edit an image for the category of specs specified. This image will be displayed adjacent to the category name to the customer on SmartWeb or SmartKiosk
- Edit an image for the banner of the category of specs specified. This image will be displayed adjacent to the category name to the customer on SmartKiosk
- Edit name (in english) of the category
- Edit the menu tiers in which this category should appear. You may choose more than 1 menu tiers from the dropdown
- Edit the default status of the category upon creation - whether it should be 'Displayed' or 'Hidden' once created *
- Move on to the 'Translations' tab to Edit translations of the category name in the languages supported
*NOTE: You can always change the status after the category has been created.
- Edit an image for the category of specs specified. This image will be displayed adjacent to the category name to the customer on SmartWeb or SmartKiosk
- Click 'Save' to save and complete category updates
If you are not using the Menu Editor to create a category, follow these steps:
- On selected Category, click Edit button to open Edit Category Form
- Edit Category form will be displayed
- Edit fields you want to edit
- Click Save button to save the changing or Cancel button to cancel changing
