A sub-category is a group of items, put together to help customer understand and zoom into a specific type of food items. You will need to create a category, then create a sub-category within the category to assign and item to these for the items to be visible to the customer for ordering.
If you are using the Menu Editor to edit your menu, follow these steps:
- Login to eCMS
- Go to the 'Menu' Tab
- Select the sub-category that you want to edit and click on the pencil icon to start editing
- Proceed to edit any of the details shown in this screen
- Edit an image for the sub-category of specs specified. This image will be displayed adjacent to the sub-category name to the customer on SmartWeb or SmartKiosk
- Edit name (in english) of the category
- AEditdd description of the sub-category
- Edit the default status of the category upon creation - whether it should be 'Displayed' or 'Hidden' once created *
- If you are using Smartweb, edit the layout in which the items should be displayed to the customer
- If you are using SmartKiosk, edit the layout in which the items should be displayed to the customer
- Move on to the 'Translations' tab to edit translations of the sub-category name and description in the languages supported
*NOTE: You can always change the status after the sub-category has been created.
- Edit an image for the sub-category of specs specified. This image will be displayed adjacent to the sub-category name to the customer on SmartWeb or SmartKiosk
- Click 'Save' to save and complete sub-category creation
If you are not using the Menu Editor to create a sub-category, follow these steps:
- On selected Category, select sub-category you want to update
- On selected sub-category click edit button
- Edit Sub-Category form will be displayed
- Edit fields you want to edit
- Click Save button to save the changing or Cancel button to cancel changing
