A Customization is a group of modifiers which involves adjusting ingredients or preparation methods to match personal preferences or dietary needs. This creates a more tailored and satisfying dining experience.
If you are using the Menu Editor to create your menu, follow these steps:
- Login to eCMS
- Go to the 'Customisations' Tab
- '+ New Customisation' button to create a new customisation
- Enter the necessary information in the 'Details & Preference' section to create a new customisation
- Add the Customisation Name (in English)
- Add the Customisation Header (in English) - this will be displayed to the customer
- Select the checkbox 'Display as cross sell recommendation' if you wish to display customisation on the recommendations screen
- If you are displaying your menu on the kiosk, select the Kiosk Display Layout from the options - Image, Single or Double rows
- If the customer is expected to select items from a combo, select the selection mode as 'Combo', else select 'Standard'
Now scroll down for further settings of the customisation.
- Enter the necessary information in the 'Selection Limits' section
- Add minimum number of selections which the customer can make per selection/modifier/choice
- Add maximum number of selections which the customer can make per selection/modifier/choice
- Add maximum total number of selections which the customer can make in the customisation across all selection/modifiers/choices
Now scroll down for further settings of the customisation.
- Add minimum number of selections which the customer can make per selection/modifier/choice
- Enter the necessary information in the 'Choices' section
- Click on '+ New Choice' button on the top right hand corner to add choices within the customisation group
- Select the item which should be added as a choice within the customisation
- Select SKU of the item which should be added as a choice within the customisation
- Select the checkbox for 'Allow Multiple Quantity' to allow customers to add the choice to their item more than once
- Select the checkbox for 'Send as item for POS' if the choice should be sent as an item to match with the menu setup in your POS system
- Select the checkbox for 'Display as pre-selected' if the choice should be pre-selected once the customer selects the item
- Click the '=' to drag and drop and change the sequence in which the choices should be visible to the customer
- You can also change the display name to include/exclude SKU name to the customer. Click on the dropdown 'Display Name' to change the display name
- Click on '+ New Choice' button on the top right hand corner to add choices within the customisation group
- Finally, scroll down to the 'Translations' tab and enter the translation of the customisation name for the customers to be able to see the customisation name in the selected language
- Click 'Save' to save and complete customisation creation.
- You may Edit, Duplicate or Delete a customisation after its creation by:
- Go to 'Customisations' tab
- Hover on the customisation
- Click on the 3 dots
- Select the action which you wish to perform
