How to Set Up WhatsApp Campaigns on SmartEngage

Prerequisites:

Before diving into WhatsApp campaign configurations, make sure you have the following prerequisites in place: 

  • Facebook Business Account and WhatsApp Business Number:

    • You need a Facebook business account and a WhatsApp business number to register as the sender.


  • InfoBip Account:

    • Create an InfoBip account to facilitate the integration with eCMS Tabsquare Solution.


  • Admin Access for Campaign Management Config:

    • OPS Team should have set up the campaign management configuration on the eCMS Admin level.


To enable the feature function, follow these steps:

  • Login to eCMS Tabsquare Solution as Admin:

    • Ensure you are logged in with Admin-level access.


  • Navigate to CRM > Campaign Management Config:

    • Click on CRM in the navigation panes, then select Campaign Management Config.


  • Add Campaign Management Config:

    • Click the "Add Campaign Config" button.


  • Fill in the Campaign Config Form:

    • Select "WhatsApp Campaign."

    • Fill in the required fields, including brand, InfoBip Base URL, InfoBip API key, WhatsApp number, and status.

    • Click the "Save" button to add the campaign config.


InfoBip Information:

For InfoBip credentials, visit InfoBip Developers and find the required information.

To register as a Sender, go to InfoBip Sender Registration and log in with your Facebook account.


Create Template in InfoBip:


Creating a template on InfoBip:

WhatsApp messages can only be sent with approved templates. Follow these steps to create a template:

  • Go to InfoBip Senders:

    • Navigate to Channels and Numbers > Whatsapp > Senders > Manage Template.

      Click on Manage Template


  • Register Template:

    • Click on "Register Template" and select the Marketing category.

    • Enter the text of your message, and upload optional images or PDFs.

    • Add variables if needed.

    • Click "Submit for Approval."

Once your template is approved, it will appear in eCMS for sending messages.


Admin - Edit and Delete Campaign Config:

  • Edit Campaign Config:

    • On the selected Campaign Config, click the Edit Action button.

    • Update the necessary fields and click "Save" to apply changes.


  • Delete Campaign Config:

    • On the selected Campaign Config, click the Delete Action button.

    • Confirm the action by clicking "Yes" or "No" in the dialog form.

Publish Smart Campaign with WhatsApp:

Note: The following guidance can be done at the brand user level.

  • Ensure Settings are Set Up:

    • Make sure all required settings are configured before proceeding.


  • Navigate to CRM > SmartCampaign:

    • Click on CRM in the navigation panes, then select Smart Campaign.


  • Add Smart Campaign:

    • Click the "Add SmartCampaign" button.


  • Fill in the SmartCampaign Form:

    • Enter the campaign name, select the store, choose customer segments, and upload email lists.


  • Configure Voucher Code and Message:

    • Copy the voucher code and select the template configured in InfoBip.

    • Add values for variables and upload images or PDFs.

    • Preview the message.


  • Publish or Save as Draft:

    • Choose to publish the campaign or save it as a draft.


Once published, the campaign will trigger to the specified users, and you can view the summary of the published campaign.

Follow these steps diligently to set up effective WhatsApp campaigns with eCMS Tabsquare Solution and engage your customers seamlessly.
