Create an Item

A item is the food dish that is to be served to the customer to consume. You will need to create 1 item for each food dish in your menu for it to be available for your customer to order.

If you are using the Menu Editor to create your menu, follow these steps:

1. Login to eCMS
   
   
2. Go to the 'Menu' Tab 
3. You will see the Menu Editor with the items listed on the middle of the screen. Click on the '+ New Item' button to create a new item
   
4. You will now see the New item creation form, proceed to fill in the details to create a new item
   
5. Detail & Preference section 
   1. Name in English field, input the item’s name (e.g., Mini Donut, Spaghetti Bolognese, Spicy Korean Wings)
   2. Description in English field, input item’s description
   3. Image field, click Change Image button to select item’s image and upload it
   4. Tags field, select item’s tag (e.g., Mains, Appetizers, Starters, Beverage, Drinks, Desserts)
   5. Kitchen printer assignment field, select and assign a printer to the item
   6. Status In Stock and Stock out
      1. In Stock if the item is available on stock 
      2. Stock out if the item is not available on stock
   7. Status Show and Hide
      1. Show, if the item is available on menu 
      2. Hide, if the item is hidden on menu
   8. SKU Image
      1. Yes, the item has images on SKU
      2. No, the item has no images on SKU
   9. Item allergen
      1. Yes, the item has allergen --> select the allergen from the dropdown list
      2. No, the item has no allergens
   10. Alcoholic ingredients
       1. Yes, the item has alcoholic ingredients
       2. No, the item does not have alcoholic ingredients
   11. Part of Combo
       1. Yes, the item is part of combo
       2. No, the item is not part of combo
6. Category section
   1. Proceed to select category and sub-category that the item should be part of
   2. You may click on '+Assign' button to assign the item to more than 1 category and sub-category

5. SKU section
   1. SKU Name in English
   2. How Many Calories
   3. Nutri grade information (if applicable)
   4. Tick following checkboxes, for enabling the setting:
      1. Show Upgrade SKU Option if it is possible to upgrade SKU Option on menu
      2. Show All SKU option, if need to show all SKU
      3. Show Customization Option if you want to show customization option only
      4. Mix-in discount applicable
   5. While hovering on the SKU section, you can see the options to 
      1. stock out or stock in  the SKU
      2. delete the SKU
      3. drag & drop to change sequence of the SKU
      4. click on 'Price' button to switch the view to add prices for the SKU
         
6. Translation section
   1. Enter translations for item, sku name and description, if applicable
7. Once you have entered all item details successfully, you will see the green tick mark on the left hand side, indicating that all necessary and valuable details of the item have been added
   
8. Click Save & Back
